When somebody is upset and opens up to tell you all about their problems, you shouldn’t tell that that people are starving in Africa or that there are worse things going on in the world because it won’t change the fact that they are upset. They know what is going on in the real world but it doesn’t change the fact that their world is falling apart. So next time, just be there for them, listen to them and show them that you care because that’s probably all they want. And if someone has it much worse, that doesn’t really change the fact that you have what you have.
